Bills' Anderson out indefinitely



PHOENIX (WGR 550)  -- The results of the MRI scheduled for Buffalo Bills defensive end Mark Anderson did not bring positive news to the team. The Bills announced on Wednesday that Anderson would need surgery, and will be out indefinitely.

The announcement wasn't all discouraging news though, Chan Gailey told reporters Wednesday that the injury would not be one that ends Anderson's season.

The defensive end was one of the two prized additions in the off-season by the Bills, coming to the franchise as a free agent by way of the New England Patriots. In 2011, Anderson racked up 10 sacks throughout the season. However, he's failed to live up to perhaps lofty expectations through the first five games of the season with Buffalo, registering only one takedown of the quarterback.
