The NHL rejected all three proposals by the NHL Players Association today in Toronto. While league commissioner Gary Bettman called the offers "no where close," to the league's last proposal, NHLPA Executive Director Donald Fehr defended the players' proposals.

Here is the information Fehr provided about the three proposals in a press conference after today's session:

The first proposal would involve a fixed player share over the next three years, then options for how much it would be depending on the league's growth. The players' percentage of Hockey Related Revenue would have dropped toward 50 depending on that growth.

Fehr said this option saves owners between $800M-1.1B.

The second proposal suggests using owners 5 per cent growth number. Instead of 57 per cent of that, we take 24 per cent of that growth and the overall number would drop closer to 50 as growth increases

The third proposal  would have players splitting revenue 50/50 as long as owners promise to honor all contracts that were signed by players

All 3 proposals today dealt solely with players' share of HRR and core economics, didn't deal with other systemic issues
