Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, October 23rd 2012



New York City-based Madison Hawk Company will conduct the auction for the closed Sheehan Memorial Hospital property in downtown Buffalo.  Business First reports the auction will be held November 29th at 11am in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.  Bidding is expected to start at $2 million.

Alden Optical has purchased a new home office and warehouse.  The new site will be in the Lancaster Parkway.  Alden Optical paid a reported $511,000 for the property.

Consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton has dropped Research In Motion as its smartphone supplier.  The Toronto Star notes it's another blow to the company.
Third quarter net income for Northwest Bancorp, Incorporated was down 6% from the numbers a year ago.  However, net income per share remained steady at seventeen cents per share.
