Report: Mario Williams considering wrist surgery

Throughout the past several weeks, Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams has alluded to a wrist injury that has been bothering him since training camp. At times, the Bills' free agent acquisition does it without being prompted by questions from the surrounding media.

All the words spoken about his wrist injury may just be the starting point.

According to Tim Graham of The Buffalo News, a source tells him that Williams is contemplating having surgery on his left wrist during the team's bye week.

Williams has only 3.5 sacks through seven games in 2012, after signing the richest contract for a defensive player in NFL history during the off-season.

The Bills hold their only practice of their bye week on Wednesday, where head coach Chan Gailey will brief the media following the session. Stay tuned to WGR550.com for any new information.
