But I digress. Williams liked it here and signed here and then so did Mark Anderson, probably the second best pass rusher available in free agency. This was also awesome.
All of this was happening while, as best as I can remember, we were doing shows from First Niagara Center as the Sabres put together another late season push toward a playoff spot that seemed like a pipe dream a month earlier.
It was also like 80 degrees and sunny just about every day in March. Alright, you got me. It was really only 80 degrees and sunny for about half of March. Still, it was fantastic around here.
Now the entire Northeast seems about to be swallowed whole by a George Clooney, Marky Mark movie storm.
Not only did the Sabres fail to finish their run to the playoffs, now the NHL is lopping games off the schedule by the month while I get to see pictures of Derek Roy's Ferrari on Twitter. Great.
Mark Anderson is hurt but may at least be back soon. Mario Williams decided his wrist was bothering him enough to have a surgical procedure on it that the Bills may or may not have even known about. Williams says they did, a report early Monday indicated otherwise.
Regardless, things aren't going so well. The Bills still have a horrible defense with very little pass rush. Hockey doesn't seem ready to show up to save the day anytime soon.
And it's raining, kind of a lot, and I'm wondering if I should have bought a generator.
Expletive deleted.
