Bills sign CB, OL to active roster

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- Following four moves that impacted the active roster for the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, the team rounded out their roster to 53 players on Wednesday.

The Bills announced that they have signed cornerback Crezdon Butler and offensive lineman Thomas Welch to the 53-man roster.

Butler comes to Buffalo by way of Arizona's practice squad. Drafted by Pittsburgh in the fifth-round out of Clemson in 2010, the cornerback has had stints with the Steelers, Cardinals and Washington Redskins. He's appeared in eight career games.

Buffalo brings up their offensive lineman count to eight with the addition of Welch. The Vanderbilt product was a seventh-round draft pick by New England in 2010. Welch appeared in eight games total last season in stints with the Patriots and St. Louis Rams. He has one career start.

There was room on the roster following the release of kicker John Potter and the placement of offensive tackle Erik Pears and cornerback Terrence McGee on season-ending injured reserve.

The Bills next face the New England Patriots on Sunday in Foxboro.

Chris Bosh says that the fans that left early in Game 6 shouldn't come back for Game 7. Is he right?
Yes. Leaving that game is indefensible. Stay away.
No. It's every fan's right to leave when he/she sees fit. Relax Bosh.
