New Dareus injury pops up after Tuesday's Bills practice

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- The Buffalo Bills are doing their best to prepare for the Miami Dolphins on a shortened week at One Bills Drive. To start things off on Tuesday, the Bills saw eight players from their roster have only a limited role in practice.

The most glaring of the eight is second-year defensive tackle Marcell Dareus, who has been listed with a shoulder injury over the past few weeks, but had an additional hamstring designation added to his row on the injury report.

The Bills said following the session that it's a sore hamstring, and that the injury did not occur during practice. The Bills official website said that Dareus is not expected to miss Thursday's game because of it.

Joining the defensive tackle as limited participants are Kyle Williams, Spencer Johnson, Andy Levitre, Eric Wood, Justin Rogers, Leodis McKelvin and Brad Smith.

Mark Anderson, Aaron Williams, Fred Jackson and Chris Kelsay all did not participate in the session. The first three have already been ruled out, while Kelsay has been described as "touch and go" by head coach Chan Gailey as to whether or not he'll be ready for the Dolphins on Thursday night.

C.J. Spiller, Chris Hairston, Mario Williams and Da'Norris Searcy were all on the injury report as well, but have been full participants each of the last two days.

The Bills and Dolphins are the NFL's lone contest scheduled for Thursday night. The two teams will face off at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
