Bills get three players back to practice

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- It seems the Buffalo Bills may just have something to celebrate and be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day.

During the team's shortened 85-minute practice, the Bills saw the return of three players that did not participate on Wednesday due to injury. The list includes fullback Corey McIntyre, cornerback Ron Brooks and defensive tackle Kyle Williams.

McIntyre had to leave Wednesday's practice at Ralph Wilson Stadium on a cart because of a knee injury. After reviewing with trainers, it was deemed that the fullback may miss a day or two. As luck would have it, McIntyre didn't even miss another day and is expected to be ready for the Bills' game against Indianapolis.

Emergency dental surgery kept rookie Ron Brooks from practicing Wednesday, but the former LSU Tiger was on the field and looked to be moving around normally. Head coach Chan Gailey said Brooks is expected to play on Sunday.

In the case of Kyle Williams, he's gotten in to a routine of resting on a Wednesday before the team's game on Sunday, then getting back to work the rest of the week. It seems as though that will again be the outlook for the defensive tackle after he returned to practice Thursday. An ankle injury has kept Williams on the injury report for several weeks.

For the second straight day, both running back Fred Jackson (concussion) and defensive end Chris Kelsay (neck) were participating. During some team work early on, however, Kelsay was not with the first team at right defensive end. Kyle Moore, who has started the past two games, continued to do so on Thursday.

Defensive tackle Spencer Johnson (ankle) and wide receiver Brad Smith (hamstring) were once again limited on Thursday, but are expected to play on Sunday.

The only two Bills to not participate in the practice were defensive end Mark Anderson (knee) and cornerback Aaron Williams (knee). Both have been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Colts.

The Bills have one more day of practice on Friday, and then fly out to Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon. They square off against the Colts Sunday at 1 pm.
