Buffalo Business Report - Monday, December 3rd 2012



A large gap remains between the local and national gas prices as the calendar flips to December.  The AAA reports the Western New York average of $3.85 for a gallon of unleaded is forty-six cents higher than the national average.  Generally that difference is closer to twelve cents per gallon.

Buffalo-based Krog Corp, in collaboration with Hart Hotels, will build a four-story waterfront luxury hotel in Clayton, NY on the St. Lawrence River.  The Watertown Daily Times notes the 104-room hotel will be built by 2014.

West Herr Auto Group has acquired another Millersport Highway property.  Business First reports West Herr paid $940,000 for a 3-1/2 acre parcel formerly occupied by Milhurst Construction.
The Southgate Plaza has changed hands.  In a $17.48 million deal, Southgate Plaza Incorporated sold the plaza to Southgate Associates LLC.  The main partners in the new group are James and Frank Campofelice.
