Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550) -- Stevie Johnson's status is up in the air.
Following Friday's practice, Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey officially designated their top wide receiver as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the St. Louis Rams. Johnson suffered a hamstring injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars that kept him out of practice on Wednesday.
He got back on the field for Thursday's session and practiced on Friday as well.
"He was better [Friday] than he was [Thursday]," Gailey said. "We’re going to talk about it and see how he feels [Saturday] morning before we make a full decision."
Regardless if Johnson plays against the Rams, the Bills will likely get their other starting receiver back for the game. Donald Jones has been listed as probable after sitting out against Jacksonville with a calf injury. He's been a full participant at practice throughout the entire week.
The Bills have also listed four other players besides Johnson as questionable for the game. Aaron Williams, Leodis McKelvin, Justin Rogers and Spencer Johnson all received the 50-50 designation. On Friday, Gailey said it would be "close" for Williams and that McKelvin was "fine."
The Bills (5-7) take on the Rams (5-6-1) at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 pm.
