Seahawks Roll Over Bills 50-17

Russell Wilson threw for 205 yards and rushed for 92 more, accounting for four total touchdowns, and led the Seahawks to a 50-17 rout over the Bills at Rogers Centre in Toronto on Sunday.

Seattle jumped out to the early lead, capping off their first offensive series of the day with a 14-yard touchdown run by Russell Wilson. The rookie quarterback was also perfect through the air on the opening drive, going 4 of 4 for 53 yards. Wilson struck again on the Seahawks' next drive with a 25-yard scamper to the end zone, making the score 14-0. Buffalo responded on the following drive, marching 72 yards before C.J. Spiller took it in from 14 yards out.

Following a 19-yard Steven Hauschka field goal, the Seahawks continued to dominate offensively. Marshawn Lynch cut through the Bills' defense for a 55-yard run and Wilson hit Zach Miller in the end zone for a 4-yard scoring strike just a play later. Wilson's third rushing touchdown came just a few minutes later, following another Buffalo 3 and out, to put the Seahawks up 31-7. The Bills fought back late in the first half with a 20-yard Stevie Johnson touchdown reception and a 41-yard field goal courtesy of Rian Lindell, making the halftime score 31-17.

Seattle extended the lead to 37-17 on a 13-yard Lynch run early in the third quarter. The touchdown was made possible thanks to a Fitzpatrick interception that landed in the arms of K.J. Wright. Two plays later, Lynch carried the ball into the end zone to give the Seahawks a 20 point lead. After another Hauschka field goal, Earl Thomas got in front of a Fitzpatrick pass and returned it 57 yards for the touchdown to put Seattle up 47-17. Another Hauschka field goal made it 50-17, dropping the Bills to 5-9 on the season.
