Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, December 26th 2012



Kittinger Furniture Company has placed the Eastern Hills Skating Center property under contract.  Business First reports Kittinger intends to move its manufacturing operations there.  The furniture maker is asking for an incentive package from the Clarence IDA to facilitate the move.  Kittinger would add eight more manufacturing jobs if the plan is approved.

Delaware North Companies joint venture with Churchill Downs has finalized the purchase of harness racing licenses and other assets for an Ohio horse track.  Miami Valley Gaming & Racing hopes to have its track open by the first quarter of 2014.

The Valu Plaza at Kenmore Avenue and Englewood may soon see a Mighty Taco.  The restaurant is planning to open its 24th location there; the plan includes a drive-thru window.    

RootMetrics has ranked AT&T first among local carriers for network performance.  AT&T invested over $180 million in its New York wireless and wired networks in the first half of 2012.
