Report: Bills peg Hackett as Offensive Coordinator

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- It appears that Doug Marrone will not only be leaving Syracuse for Buffalo, but he will also be bringing the Offensive Coordinator with him.

Tim Graham of the Buffalo News was the first to report on Tuesday night that Nathaniel Hackett has accepted the same position with the Buffalo Bills. Hackett has been the Offensive Coordinator at Syracuse under Marrone for the last three seasons.

With the Bills once before, he served as the team's Offensive Quality Control Coach under Dick Jauron.  He also worked in a similar position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He's been described to WGR's Joe Buscaglia as a "rising star" in coaching

Hackett, 33, is the son of long-time college and NFL play caller Paul Hackett.  This story comes a day after it was reported that Hackett was going to stay at Syracuse.

Stay tuned to WGR 550 for the latest on this story.
