Buffalo Business Report - Monday, February 4th 2013



Local gas prices have jumped a dime in the past week.  The AAA reports it costs an average of $3.83 for a gallon of unleaded in Western New York - thirty-one cents higher than the national average.

The State Health Department has given its okay to a $43 million expansion plan at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.  Business First reports ground breaking will come this spring on an 11-story Clinical Sciences Center at Carlton and Michigan.  

The first Crunch Fitness will open this April in Amherst.  The New York City-based fitness club's first branch will be in the Sheridan Center shopping plaza at Sweet Home and Sheridan.

Batavia's Graham Corporation reported a net income increase of 87.5% for this year's third quarter, totaling $3 million.

The NFTA sponsors an open house this Wednesday from 4:30-8pm at the Cold Springs Bus Maintenance Office.  That's at 1581 Michigan Avenue.  The NFTA is looking for bus operators, mechanics and technicians.
