Buffalo Business Report -- Monday, March 4, 2013

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que has plans to meet with the Buffalo Planning Board on the 12th to review a proposal to add an outdoor dining patio and a meat-smoker area. Business First says the well-known barbeque chain is on target to open in October at 301 Franklin Street behind Shea's Performing Arts Center - and across from the Buckin' Buffalo saloon.

First Niagara Bank has plans to close its branch at 46 Court Street, not far from Niagara Square, this spring. Deposits will shift to a newly-acquired branch at 14 Lafayette Square, a former HSBC location. The closure is part of the consolidation process following First Niagara's acquisition of HSBC bank branches.

The Canada Border Services Agency has announced the opening of an additional NEXUS lane at the Peace Bridge. One NEXUS lane is open daily. The second and additional new third lanes will be used to process NEXUS members during high-volume periods -- and used as regular lanes at other times.
