SABRES: Will the bad blood continue?

Newark, NJ (WGR 550)  -- The last game against the Devils was a chippy affair. Rolston said, “I think it could be again because they want to win tonight as we do so it’s going to be competitive. Usually with two teams competing like that you get that type of animosity so I’m sure both teams will be at that point.”

In that game at the end of overtime, Adam Henrique went after Tyler Ennis and they almost fought. Ryan Miller after making the final save of the shootout taunted Henrique shaking his glove at him with the puck inside. Miller seems like he wishes he hadn’t done that and doesn’t expect carryover, “Oh no, I just didn’t think going after Tyler Ennis is any proof that you’re a tough guy, but that went a little further than it needed to go. Henrique’s a good player, I’d like to see both teams get into it emotionally and I think you’ll see a little more of that.”

Ennis almost got into a NHL fight while that was going on with Henrique. He said, “I don’t know, I think he may have thought I was trying to shoot the puck at him, but I was just trying to get it on net, but there was a lot of battle and emotion, He’s a hard player to play against and I’d like to think I work as hard as I can every night so competitive juices were flowing and I think tonight I expect the same.”

To hear more from Ennis, he’ll join The Bulldog for the pregame beginning at 6:00.
