Buffalo Business Report - Friday, April 19th 2013

The AAA reports the current average for a gallon of unleaded gas in the region is $3.80.  That's down three cents from Monday's cost.  The average cost has dropped fourteen cents in the past month.

The State Labor Department has released preliminary job growth numbers for March.  32-hundred jobs were added in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls region, or an increase of 7-10ths of a percent compared to March of last year.

A ribbon-cutting for the Made In America's Store's souvenir shop in Niagara Falls is set for tomorrow morning.  The original store remains on Maple Road in Elma.

KeyCorp reported net income per share of twenty-one cents per share; that's up a penny from the per share return a year ago for the quarter.

BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and Benefitfocus, Incorporated have announced a partnership.  The intention is to build a private health insurance exchange.
