NFL Mock Draft - Day 2

(WGR 550) -- The first round of the 2013 NFL Draft has come and gone and the Buffalo Bills have found their brand new face of the franchise in E.J. Manuel.

Whether or not you agree with the selection, what most can agree on is that they're glad the Bills have a pair of early second round picks on Day Two of the draft. What might the Bills be looking for?

Let's take a look. And just like last time, it's important to note that all mock drafts should be viewed as being for entertainment purposes only. Enjoy Day 2!

Round 2

33)  - QB Ryan Nassib, Syracuse
- Most are thinking Geno Smith here, but the Jaguars are definitely interested in Nassib. There's always the temptation to sell to the highest bidder, too.

34)  (via KC) - DE Margus Hunt, SMU

35)  - QB Geno Smith, West Virginia
- The wait is over, and Geno ends up going to the same team some predicted for him -- only a round later.

36)  - OT Menelik Watson, Florida State

37)  (via OAK) - S Johnathan Cyprien, Florida International

38)  - LB Jamie Collins, Southern Mississippi

(Used in 2012 Supplemental Draft on WR Josh Gordon)

39)  - TE Zach Ertz, Stanford

40)  - CB Jamar Taylor, Boise State

41)  - WR Justin Hunter, Tennessee
- If this ends up happening this way, this is a home run start to the beginning of the second round for the Buffalo Bills. Justin Hunter is that "open when he's not" receiver that Buddy Nix has been talking about, and has the long-term potential to turn in to a number-one wideout according to the Bills' staff. His measurables and all the contact between the two sides lead me to believe he could be the pick at 41.

42)  (via MIA) - DE Damontre Moore, Texas A&M

43)  - TE Gavin Escobar, San Diego State

44)  - OT Terron Armstead, Arkansas Pine-Bluff

 (forfeited)

45)  - G Larry Warford, Kentucky

46)  (via STL) - CB Darius Slay, Mississippi State
- The Bills definitely need to add to the cornerback position, now it's a matter of "who" and "when." With the cornerbacks dropping a bit in the first round, the Bills have the opportunity to select a corner that could have been a first round pick. With Taylor off the board, to me this comes down to the two Mississippi State cornerbacks. You can make the case for either, but Slay's speed and fluid hips to play the position give him the edge even though he only has one year of starting behind him. Let me be clear though, if it does play out this way, don't rule out Johnthan Banks by any means. Either would be a good pick as both are experienced with press-man.

47)  - DT Johnathan Jenkins, Georgia

48)  - HB Johnathan Franklin, UCLA

49)  - DE Cornellius Carradine, Florida State
- The Giants jump all over this pick. They could have picked him in the first round and no one would have argued.

50)  - LB Manti Te'o, Notre Dame

51)  - CB Johnthan Banks, Mississippi State

52)  (via MIN) - WR Robert Woods, USC

53)  - HB Eddie Lacy, Alabama

54)  (via IND, through MIA) - WR Terrance Williams, Baylor
- The Chiefs get this pick after trading Branden Albert to Miami.

55)  - HB Montee Ball, Wisconsin

56)  - TE Vance McDonald, Rice
- A potential Bills target goes off the board. Pete Carroll looks to build for 2014 once they need to sever ties with Zach Miller.

57)  - QB Landry Jones, Oklahoma

58)  - LB Kevin Minter, LSU

59)  - WR Markus Wheaton, Oregon State
- You're reading this correctly, I have the Patriots selecting two wide receivers within eight picks. A combination of Woods and Wheaton can pose a lot of matchup problems and allows Danny Amendola to pick up where Wes Welker left off.

60)  - DT Jesse Williams, Alabama

61)  - WR Keenan Allen, Cal

62)  - LB Arthur Brown, Kansas State
- Having been compared to Ray Lewis' situation of being "too small" in the past, Brown landing in Baltimore would be quite the story.

Round 3

63)  - DE/DT Johnathan Hankins, Ohio State

64)  - DT Brandon Williams, Southern Missouri State

65)  - CB Robert Alford, Southeastern Louisiana

66)  - LB Kiko Alonso, Oregon

67)  - CB Logan Ryan, Rutgers

68)  - QB Matt Barkley, USC

69)  - QB Mike Glennon, NC State

70)  - DE Alex Okafor, Texas

71)  (via BUF) - S Shamarko Thomas, Syracuse

72)  - QB Zac Dysert, Miami (OH)

73)  - QB Tyler Bray, Tennessee

74)  (via CAR, through SF) - S Phillip Thomas, Fresno State

75)  - DE/OLB Corey Lemonier, Auburn

76)  - CB Jordan Poyer, Oregon State

77)  - CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson, Connecticut

78)  (via STL) - G Brian Winters, Kent State
- The Bills could go tight end here, but the late run on tight ends in the second round might keep them away. Brian Winters is a player that the Bills can plug in at guard right away according to area scout Brian Fisher. If he's on the board, he could definitely be the pick. They also may look at pass rusher, inside linebacker and safety.
