Bills sign WR Goodwin, three other draft picks

(WGR 550) -- With the rookie wage scale in place, there really isn't too much room for negotiations with most draft picks just being slotted in to their contracts. Like many other teams in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills are taking advantage of that by swiftly coming to terms of an agreement with the majority of their draft picks.

On Friday, the Bills announced they've signed four more draft picks to their inaugural contracts in the NFL. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (third round, Texas), safety Duke Williams (fourth round, Nevada), safety Johnathan Meeks (fifth round, Clemson) and kicker Dustin Hopkins (sixth round, Florida State) are now all signed to their rookie deals.

Buffalo now has five of their eight selections under contract from the 2013 NFL Draft. The unsigned players remaining were the top three picks of the Bills through the first two rounds. Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel (16th overall), USC wide receiver Robert Woods (41st overall) and Oregon linebacker Kiko Alonso (46th overall) all have yet to agree to terms.

However, all eight draft picks and the team's 16 undrafted free agents will be on the field throughout the weekend for the team's annual rookie minicamp. The minicamp extends from Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12. It is not open to the public.
