Gas prices are now going back up in the Buffalo metro region.  The AAA reports the current cost for a gallon of unleaded is $3.73, back to where it was a week ago today.

New York State Homes & Community Renewal awarded affordable housing grants to three area non-profit groups.  People United for Sustainable Housing, Lackawanna Housing Development Company and Bridges Development Incorporated collectively will be able to build over 100 units with the grant money.

KeyCorp's real estate arm is poised to enter the commercial and multi-family loan business.  Last week, it was announced that KeyCorp would like to purchase Bank of America's commercial mortgage servicing portfolio.  No terms of the potential deal were made public.

A second nursing home-based hospice unit will be opened this fall by Niagara Hospice.  The unit will open in the Schoellkopf Health Center.

Management consulting company Straight Forward Consulting, LLC is celebrating its fifth year in existence today.
