Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, May 14th 2013

Before the green flag waves to start this year's Indy 500, a 2014 Corvette Stingray will lead the field.  That Stingray will be powered by an engine built at the Tonawanda Engine plant.  A Corvette first served as the Indy Pace Car in 1978.

Business First reports Moog Incorporated's aircraft group has been contracted to supply primary flight control systems for Embraer S.A.'s second generation E-jet family.

Through her affiliate Gigi's Cucina Povera LLC, local chef Mary Ann Giordano has purchased the former O'Connell's American Bistro at 981 Kenmore Avenue.  The purchase price was $280,000.  The Sicilian and Italian-themed restaurant will open next month.

Another Toni Pepperoni's restaurant has opened at 6856 South Transit Road.  It's adjacent to the baseball diamonds; next to Victory Christian Church.
