Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, May 15th 2013

April auto sales locally remained up in April.  The Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association reported sales were up 16.2% compared to the same month last year.  Year-to-year sales figures are up 9% according to Business First.  The numbers do not include Chevrolet, which does not report its local sales figures.

M&T Bank has rolled out two products aimed at helping small businesses manage their cash flow.  M&T Mobile for Merchants is a card reader that can be attached to mobile devices and Portfolio Manager is an online account management system.

Canisius College’s graduate online programs earned a place on U.S. News & World Report’s first-ever ranking of “Best Online Programs for Veterans.”

The Buffalo Rotary Foundation has awarded Goodwill Industries of WNY, Incorporated a $12,350 grant to purchase a new trailer to augment its fleet of Attended Donation Centers.
