The player the Bills said was the most NFL ready among receivers in last month's draft, has agreed to terms. USC wide out Robert Woods agreed to a four year contract according to ESPN.com. Woods is the seventh of eight Bills picks to reach a deal. The only unsigned pick is EJ Manuel, the top choice.
Woods had a standout three year career at USC, totaling 250 catches, 2,933 yards and 32 touchdowns for the Trojans. He also returned 55 kicks and 30 punts.
The Sabres have decided to keep John Scott for another season. The team announcing they've signed Scott, who was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent, to a one year contract. RDS in Canada reports the deal is worth $750,000.
Scott played in 34 games last season, his first with the Sabres. The 6'8", 258 pound left winger had no points and seven fights while averaging 5 minutes and 27 seconds a game in a fourth line role.
Scott's signing leaves defensemen Adam Pardy and Alexander Sulzer as the remaining unrestricted free agents. Jochan Hecht was going to be a free agent but announced his retirement.
