Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, May 22nd 2013



For $2.1 million, an Ellicott Development Company affiliate has purchased the Hein Publishing Building at 1285 Main Street in Buffalo.  Business First reports the building will be used strictly for commercial tenants.

A June 4th public hearing has been set on a funding request for Statler City.  The 9am hearing at Buffalo City Hall is required before the Empire State Development Corporation can vote to release the $5.3 million for interior and exterior renovations at the historic site.

A second yogurt plant will open soon in the Gensee Valley Agri-Business Park near Batavia.  The $206 million Muller Quaker Dairy Plant will hold a grand opening June 3rd.  It will employ at least 150 people

Schulze Vineyards and Winery has won awards for its ice wine at the Tasters Guild International and Riverside International Wine Competitions

Today marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the American Cancer Society.
