Mattel has announced a consolidation of positions.  About 100 employees in East Aurora and New York City will be downsized or re-assigned to the company's El Segundo, California headquarters.  Some of the cuts have already been made.

Catholic Health had a 6.7% first quarter increase in salary and benefit costs; Kaleida Health recorded a 5.4% increase for the same period.  Both saw labor costs jump because of a busier than normal flu season, according to Business First.

PCWorld/TechHive has ranked AT&T's 4G LTE network the fastest for the second straight year.

The Veterans One Stop Center of WNY has received a $50,000 grant from Wounded Warrior Project.  The funds will be used to fund a collaboration of existing service providers to better serve the needs of current and returning veterans across the eight counties of the region.
