Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550) -- During the final week of Organized Team Activities, the Buffalo Bills elected to switch out a wide receiver for a cornerback. The team announced Thursday that they have signed former Arizona and Philadelphia wide receiver DeMarco Sampson to an undisclosed contract.
Sampson was a seventh-round pick in 2011, spending that year with the Cardinals. He was then released ahead of the 2012 season and picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles. Sampson was released by Philadelphia earlier this month. Throughout his two year career, he has three catches for 36 yards.
Sampson is a 6-foot-2, 204 pound wideout. The Bills released undrafted free agent cornerback Vernon Kearney to make room on the roster.
