Buffalo Business Report - Monday, June 24th 2013



Over the weekend, the local average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas slid one penny to $3.74.  However, the national average is $3.57, making for a seventeen cent difference in price according to the AAA.

The AAA has put out its Fourth of July weekend travel forecast.  A slight decrease in vehicular traffic and slight increase in air travel is expected.  In all, 40.8 million people will be on the move for the period from next Wednesday through the following Sunday.

Business First reports the Amherst Industrial Development Agency has self-instituted a six-month moratorium on incentive offerings for senior housing projects.

Planned Parenthood of Western New York has filed to merge with Planned Parenthood of the Rochester/Syracuse region.  The filing makes official an announcement in May to create a new Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York, Incorporated.
