With the NHL Draft less than 24 hours away, here are the latest rumors surrounding the world of hockey:
Sabres GM Darcy Regier told John Vogl of the Buffalo News that he's not expecting to trade Miller and that both Miller and Vanek will likely remain members of the Sabres after this weekend.
Mike Liut, the agent for Ryan Miller, also says he doesn't expect anything to happen with his client.
Boston Bruins forward Nathan Horton is expected to hit the market. Horton expressed his interest in wanting to move on and that no offers were exchanged between him and the Bruins. Meanwhile, the Bruins could be trying to shop forward Tyler Seguin. The Bruins are trying to get goalie Tuukka Rask under contract, and trading Seguin could allow the Bruins to sign the goalie for the amount of money he's looking for, which reportedly could be up to $7 million per year.
The Minnesota Wild are trying to trade forward Cal Clutterbuck. Clutterbuck is a restricted free agent who led the league with 336 hits two years ago to go along with 19 goals and 15 assists.
The Colorado Avalanche are not expected to trade the 1st overall pick. It is unknown who they will select with the pick.
The Vancouver Canucks are heading into this weekend trying to get rid of the albatross contract of Roberto Luongo, but they may opt to keep the veteran goalie and trying to trade Cory Schneider insead. Schneider overtook Luongo for the starting job in the 2012 NHL playoffs.
5:40PM Update: Word out of Philadelphia is Paul Holmgren would like to trade for a goalie with little term left on his contract. It just so happens Buffalo has a goalie that fits that description.
