NHL Draft Day Moves Tracker

It's draft day, but teams won't just be drafting.  Player movement is expected.  Keep checking back here to see all the moves and signings made today. 

  • The Phoenix Coyotes and goalie Mike Smith have agreed to a 6-year deal reportedly worth $34.02 million, with a cap hit of $5.67 million per year.
  • The Pittsburgh Penguins and Kris Letang are close to signing an 8-year extension worth $58 million.  

  • The Minnesota Wild have traded D Justin Falk to the New York Rangers for F Ben Ferriero and a 6th-round pick in 2014. 
  • The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded C Tyler Kennedy to the San Jose Sharks for the 50th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.
  • The Vancouver Canucks have traded G Cory Schneider to the New Jersey Devils for the 9th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.
  • The New York Islanders have traded F Nino Niederreiter to the Minnesota Wild for F Cal Clutterbuck.
  • The Detroit Red Wings trade the 18th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft to the San Jose Sharks for the 20th and 58th overall picks in the 2013 NHL Draft.
