Buffalo Business Report - Monday, July 8th 2013

No change in the local gas price over the weekend.  The AAA reports it costs an average of $3.71 per gallon in Western New York.  The national average is twenty-four cents less, at $3.47 per gallon.

According to Business First, Bevilacqua Development has signed an agreement with a local franchisee to open four new Dunkin' Donut outlets locally.  The new locations will be on separate Transit Road locations in Amherst and Lockport, on Sweet Home Road in Amherst and in the town of Hanover.

Be-Bright Lighting and Electrical of East Amherst is expanding to offer residential electrical service.  Be-Bright Lighting was founded in 2008.

The Beer Institute has discovered that New Yorkers tip back fewer cold ones than residents of every other state except New Jersey and Connecticut.  The math works out to just over four beers per person per week.  At the high end are North Dakota residents, who tip back about nine beers per week per person.
