 Earnings news from several WNY companies:  
 

  • MOD PAC's second quarter income was up 6 %  to $ 14 . 3 million.
  • Graham Corp declared a quarterly dividend of 3 cents a share
  • Financial Institutions - the parent of Five Star Bank- says second quarter income was up three percent to $6.9 million

Kenmore Mercy hospital takes the wraps of their new Emergency room today with a blessing ceremony this afternoon and a fill open house on Saturday. It's a 24 thousand square foot facility with 23 patient rooms, and is almost twice as large as the one it replaces

The Independent Service Organization, the state power pool that helps utility companies manage their load on the electricity grid, is out with new numbers on last week's heat wave, saying that an all time peak demand of over 33 megawatts was reached Thursday. 

The Buffalo Bills and Blue Rock Energy have announced a tote  giveaway along with the NFLs new rules about what you can and cant carry in. The new rules say you can only have clear one gallon bags of 12 '' by 6'' by 12'' .

 

and the thruway authority announces that the town of grand island has joined their program to sell prepaid easy passes.. available thru the town clerks office
