Bills' Mario Williams back on campus, sore foot "should be fine"

(WGR 550) -- For the past two days, Buffalo Bills outside linebacker Mario Williams has been away from the team at St. John Fisher College getting his sore foot evaluated by doctors. Although Head Coach Doug Marrone didn't have information available for reporters earlier in the day, some details about the visits have come through.

According to multiple outlets (first reported by ProFootballTalk.com), Williams had a second opinion on his foot as he was away from training camp. According to the initial report, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com and Mike Garafolo of FoxSports1, all have been told that the pass rusher has been advised to rest the foot.

Rapoport added a source told him that the foot "should be fine."

After being cleared for training camp upon his arrival to Pittsford, NY, Williams informed the coaching and training staff of his sore foot ahead of the team's first practice on Sunday. He was on the field but did not take part in any drills. On Monday, it was said Williams had left campus to have it looked at by doctors.

The Bills confirmed late Tuesday night that Williams had returned to St. John Fisher College. There has yet to be a timetable released for his return to the field.
