Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, August 13th 2013

The Market Arcade building on Main Street is for sale.  A number of inquiries about the site have been made in recent months, so the city is accepting offers through the Buffalo Urban Development Corporation.

Business First reports the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino has opened three weeks ahead of schedule.  Roughly 500 of the planned 808 slot machines are operating.  The formal grand opening is set for August 27th.

The severance package for former First Niagara Financial Group President and CEO John Koelmel will top $3 million.  That number will go up depending on when he decides to cash in his shares, which total nearly 895,000.

The first Garrett Leather designer showroom has opened on Third Avenue in New York City.  The business is headquartered on Niagara Street in Buffalo.

Yes. If he's going to be better in year 2, it starts now
