Buffalo Business Report - Monday, August 19th 2013

The AAA reports local gas prices went up a penny to $3.83 this weekend.  That's twenty-nine cents higher than the current national average.  The current local price for unleaded is actually two cents lower than it was one year ago.

Ciminelli Real Estate Corporation's Bethune Lofts are ready for occupancy.  There are 87 apartments in the building at 2917 Main Street, just south of Hertel Avenue.

Legislators are mulling over the possible sale of the county nursing home in Chautauqua County to a downstate-based investment group.  Business First pegs the deal as worth $16.5 million.  One member of the investment group is Richard Platschek, who has been in discussions to take over operations of three nursing homes operated by the Zacher family and Legacy Health Care.

The new Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2 Channels are now part of Time Warner Cable.  They replace the Speed and Fuel Channels respectively.
