Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, August 22nd 2013



Manufacturing in Western New York is doing well.  The National Association of Purchasing Management-Buffalo reports the July index was up 8.1 points from June to 61.4.  Any number above 50 indicates growth.  That growth curve has been up for the past four months.

McGuire Development Group helped facilitate the sale of adjoining properties on Frankhauser in Williamsville.  Those buildings were medical office buildings.

Business First reports a snag in negotiations to sell the Chautauqua County nursing home.  The County Executive says the prospective buyers missed a deadline to submit a deposit.  The buyers claim that the county asked to restructure the contract, creating confusion over the payment schedule.

Rich Products Corporation is celebrating 50 years of operation at its Fort Erie, Ontario plant today.
