Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, August 29th 2013



Buffalo Place announces it will see a $193,000 shortfall from revenue projections for its Thursday at Canalside shows this summer.  Rainouts in June were part of the reason revenue was off.  As a result, Business First reports Buffalo Place is considering a $5 to $10 entrance fee beginning next year.

$800,000 in federal money is coming to Western New York for border security.  A majority of that money will be shared by Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua Counties.  Another $259,500 will be split between the City of Tonawanda and the State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Fichte Endl & Elmer Eyecare has filed plans for a new ambulatory surgery center at 600 Porter Road in the Town of Niagara.

The Wyndham Garden Williamsville/Buffalo is now open.  Last week, the hotel on Main near the 290 was named official home hotel of the Buffalo Bills.
