Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550) -- As the 2013 regular season draws near, the Buffalo Bills have selected three players to wear the 'C' on the front of their jersey. The team announced that veterans Fred Jackson, Eric Wood and Kyle Williams have been named the captains of the team.
Jackson and Williams each have been named a captain for their third straight season, while this will be the first year Wood has that designation. Jackson and Williams are the longest-tenured players on the roster, first getting to Buffalo in 2006. The trio were selected as captains by their teammates.
All NFL teams have the opportunity to name six players as captain for the regular season. Quarterback EJ Manuel among others on the roster can be added as captains during the regular season if the team chooses to.
