Bulls set to take on Stony Brook

After two difficult road games against top 25 opponents, the UB football team returns home in hopes to secure its first win of the season.

The Bulls (0-2) are set to take on the No.17 ranked team in FCS Division I football, Stonybrook (1-0) in their home opener.
In their last game, the Seawolves amassed 339 yards of total offense against Rhode Island (0-1) en route to a 24-0 victory.

Last time they met:
In 2011, after Stony Brook jumped out to a 7-0 lead, the Bulls scored 28 unanswered to win 35-7.

Passing: Chazz Anderson (BUFF) - 164 yards, two touchdowns and an interception

Rushing: Branden Oliver (BUFF)- 15 carries for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Receiving: Alex Dennison (BUFF) - 1 reception, 57 yards, 1 touchdown.
Key matchup: Alex Neutz against the Stonybrook Secondary

Last season against FCS Morgan State Neutz caught eight passes for a career-high 154 receiving yards. He also tied a Buffalo record with four touchdowns.
In his last two games against ranked opponents, Neutz compiled 15 receptions for 295 yards and two touchdowns.

His most impressive performance was against No.23 Baylor last weekend when he snagged six receptions for 197 yards and a touchdown, falling just 21 yards shy of a school record of most reception yards in a single game.

As the No. 1 target in the Bulls’ offense, Neutz could be a problem for the Seawolves' secondary.

He said it:

“Today is the day that I’m focusing all my time and energy on. And how we get our kids prepared each and every single day is going to have an impact on the outcome of the game this Saturday. I don’t look too far ahead. I try to stay, like I said, in the moment. And certainly we have to secure our first win of the season.”  -Bulls head coach Jeff Quinn on Stony Brook-

The Bulls should have no problem as the rushing and passing attack will be too much for Stony Brook to handle.
