Bills' Byrd doubtful vs. Panthers

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- With the conclusion of practice for the week in Orchard Park, the Buffalo Bills are likely going to be without their franchise player for the second straight week. Listed as a limited participant in his sixth straight practice, safety Jairus Byrd officially received the designation of 'doubtful' for Sunday's home contest against the Carolina Panthers.

Byrd was listed as doubtful ahead of the Week 1 game against New England as well, which indicates at least a 75-percent chance that he will not play in the upcoming game. He's dealing with plantar fasciitis in both feet which has kept him away from full action in practice.

Besides the safety, five players were declared out by head coach Doug Marrone. Cornerback Stephon Gilmore (wrist), kicker Dustin Hopkins (right groin), guard Doug Legursky (knee), cornerback Ron Brooks (foot) and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hand) will not play Sunday against Carolina.

With the likelihood that all six will not play, that leaves room for only one healthy player from the 53-man roster that will be listed as one of the inactives for the week. The Bills and Panthers square off at Ralph Wilson Stadium at 1 pm.

Are you planning to see Connor McDavid when he plays at FNC this season?
Absolutely. Its a chance to see a generational player in person
Yes and I'm going to see some games in Erie too
No. The Sabres probably won't get him so I don't need to see him
