Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, September 19th 2013

Another local developer has set his sites on rehabbing a local landmark structure.  Business First reports Noel Sutton has purchased the Puritan Building on Allen Street for $160,000, intending to renovate it into market rate apartments with retail space on the first floor.

22nd Century Group has ponied up $1 million in cash and equity to purchase NASCO Products LLC.  Both companies are in the smoking cessation product business.

With Buffalo Beer Week set to begin, the brewing business could be ready to come to a head on the waterfront.  Proposals for construction of a Canalside beer garden are continuing; with a possible completion date of 2015.  Also, Pearl Street Brewery owner Earl Ketry is said to be searching for a location for another microbrewery.

Verizon Wireless has activated three new 4G LTE sites in the region.  The Aurora, Lewiston and Ransomville sites are part of 11-hundred total 4G LTE Verizon sites in this area.
