Buffalo Business Report - Friday, September 20th 2013

As local gas prices continue to decline slightly, they still don't come close to the national drop.  The AAA reports the current local average for a gallon of unleaded is $3.81, or basically a half penny less than the price one month ago.  The national average has fallen four cents in the last month, to $3.49.

The State Labor Department reports that 64-hundred more private sector jobs were added to the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area in August; that's a 1.4% increase from the same month last year.

Niagara County has officially sold the former Mount View Health Facility for $550,000.  A planned $6.5 million renovation into a 150-room assisted living facility now requires financial backing to move forward.

Business First reports a third bidder has emerged for the Chautauqua County Home.  Long Island nursing home and health care company VestraCare is the new bidder.  Asking price for the property is $16.5 million.
