Buffalo Business Report - Thursday, September 26th 2013

Steel Manufacturer Alita USA Holdings received a jump start from the New York Power Authority in the form of a low-cost hydropower allocation.  Alita plans to bring 172 jobs to the area with its planned pipe mill.  That announcement was made just a few weeks ago.

Local investment group Tanglewood Terrace LLC has purchased four separate buildings for a reported $860,000.  Business First notes each of the buildings has four apartments.  They are at 129 and 135 Shoshone Road, 196 North Park Avenue and 2389 Delaware Avenue.

The U.S. Postal Service is looking to hire seasonal workers for its Processing and Distribution Center on William Street.  The jobs are for November and December; deadline for applications is October 3rd.  For more information, follow this link.
