The AAA reports that local gas prices have dropped three cents this week, to an average of $3.78 per gallon of unleaded.  On a national level, the average of $3.42 is thirty-six cents lower than the local cost.

In a surprising move, public accounting firms The Bonadio Group and Gaines Kriner Elliott LLP are consolidating.  Calling it a true merger, with no money being exchanged, the move is effective November 1st, with the combined entity retaining the Bonadio Group name.

Roswell Park Cancer Institute has received an $11 million federal grant for ovarian cancer research.  The 5-year grant comes from the National Cancer Institute's Specialized Program of Research Excellence.

The NFL and Twitter have forger a partnership.  Through Twitter's advertising platform Amplify, the NFL will embed highlights, news, fantasy content and other video material.  Business First adds that the catch is, that content will be preceded by a short ad.
