Bills' McKelvin questionable; Spiller probable

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  -- While the Buffalo Bills wrapped up practice for the week ahead of their Week Four contest against the Baltimore Ravens, there has yet to be a conclusion to the Leodis McKelvin conundrum. The team's starting cornerback was limited once again at practice Friday, and was labeled as 'questionable' for Sunday's game.

"He looked good out here today but again, we're practicing," head coach Doug Marrone said following Friday's session. "Really, that will be a game time decision. We'll bring him here early [Sunday] and work him out."

Joining McKelvin in the game time decision crowd for the second straight week will be safety Jairus Byrd. The franchised player has yet to suit up this season due to a case of plantar fasciitis in both feet.

Although the team suffered numerous injuries against the New York Jets last weekend, the majority of the affected players will likely be ready to play on Sunday. Running back C.J. Spiller (quad), defensive end Mario Williams (ankle), wide receiver Stevie Johnson (hamstring) defensive lineman Kyle Williams (Achilles), right guard Kraig Urbik (knee) and defensive lineman Marcell Dareus (ankle) are all probable for the Ravens contest.

Interior lineman Doug Legursky (knee), was a full participant once again in Friday's practice and also earned the 'probable' tag for the weekend. However, Marrone downplayed the guard's availability when asked about it Friday.

"He's working his way back day-to-day," the coach said. " He's still not at 100-percent."

Legursky is the only in-house solution for the troubles starting left guard Colin Brown has exhibited through the first three weeks of the season. The two were in an open competition for the job at the start of training camp.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore (wrist), wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hand), cornerback Ron Brooks (foot) and kicker Dustin Hopkins (groin) have all been ruled out of Sunday's game. The quartet did not participate in practice on Friday once again.

The Bills (1-2) and Ravens (2-1) square off Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium with a 1 pm kickoff. Pre-game coverage starts on WGR Sports Radio 550 at 8 am.
