Niagara County's Industrial Development Agency has accepted an application for assistance for a 4-story 72-room suite hotel on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the City of Niagara Falls.  Business First says Sunrise Lodging LLC had submitted that application.  Also being considered - an incentive package to help Brent Industries in Middleport expand.

Norse Energy Corporation has dismissed the remaining five workers at its Blasdell facility and three others in Houston, Texas.  The company had previously announced a Chapter 7 filing.

North Tonawanda-based International Fiber has purchased a Maryland food products manufacturer for an undisclosed price.

The premier business ethics award in the region is now accepting nominations.  Small, mid and large-sized business will be honored at the 2014 Buffalo Niagara Business Ethics Awards.  Submissions are due by November 1st.  You can do so by following this link.
