According to the AAA, the current average cost for a gallon of unleaded gas in this area is $3.63.  That's three cents less than the price at the beginning of the week.  The current national average is thrity-one cents lower, at $3.32 per gallon.

The Amherst Planning Board has given the go-ahead to a $14 million 78-unit apartment complex on Chestnut Ridge Road off Sweet Home Road.  Construction could begin this fall for the Stratford apartments to be developed by a Legacy Development affiliate.  The first units could be tenant-ready by next fall.

National staffing firm Imagine Staffing is expanding.  Business First reports that has required a move from 640 Ellicott Street to the former Buffalo Hospice location at 892 Main Street.

Second quarter net income for Columbus Mckinnon came in at thirty-six cents per share, down six cents from the same period last year.
