The next phase of a $25 million makeover for Niagara Falls State Park is about to start. Business First reports renovation work is set for the northern sections of Prospect Point and heading towards the lower grove area in the park. Work will go on through December and resume in April. Scott Lawn Yard from Sanborn was low bidder. It expects to finish its work by August.
Coming next spring to the former Howard Shoes Building on East Huron will be a seafood restaurant called "Oshun." It will be run by the owners of Shango on Main Street in the University District.
Dave's Christmas Wonderland has added a second store in the Premier Plaza at 7950 Transit Road in Amherst. A grand opening will be held tomorrow at 4pm.
In earnings news: third quarter revenue for Synacor Inc. fell off $1.7 million from the same period last year.
Sovran Self Storage reported a revenue increase of 14.9% compared to the same quarter last year.
Monroe Tractor at 5035 Genesee Street in Cheektowaga holds a free open house this Thursday and Friday.
