Buffalo Business Report - Tuesday, November 12th 2013

The Buffalo Planning Board will now take a look at a proposed $15 million student housing project near the SUNY Buffalo State campus.  Business First reports Campus Crest Group of Charlotte, North Carolina has proposed a 216-unit complex for a large portion of the former Westwood Pharmaceuticals plant of Forest Avenue.  Pending reviews and permit approvals, construction would begin in late 2014.

Buffalo-based technology company Synacor has purchased Teknision, Inc. of Ottawa for an undisclosed sum.  The acquisition gives Synacor entrance to the global Android market.

Pole Position Raceway will open at the Walden Galleria next Wednesday, November 20th.

Military Times has named D'Youville College #1 in its Best for Vets Colleges for 2014.  86 four-year public and private schools were rated.
