Buffalo Business Report - Friday, November 15th 2013

Local gas prices have gone down one more penny this week, to an average of $3.55 for a gallon of unleaded.  That's thirty-five cents more than the current national average.  On a positive note, the AAA reports local drivers paid thirty-five cents more - or $3.90 per gallon - a year ago.

Tops Markets LLC will soon have local ownership.  Business First reports a management buyout has been underway for about a year.  An agreement has been reached, with no details made public.  All decision making for the 159-store chain will be made from their corporate headquarters in Amherst.

Sterling Energy Group has finalized its purchase of Niagara Generation LLC.  No terms of that deal were publicly announced.

Lancaster's Ecology & Environment, Inc. reported fourth quarter losses of ninety cents per share, as revenues for the period fell 19%.
