Buffalo Business Report - Monday, November 18th 2013

The AAA reports local gas prices actually went up a penny this weekend, to an average of $3.56 per gallon of unleaded.  Motorists in this region are paying thirty-five cents more per gallon than the current national average of $3.21.

Just like the horizon, October new vehicle sales were awash in color - but most of it was green.  The Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association reports new car sales for the month were up 22.55% from the same period a year ago.  That was also a 7% sales increase over this September.  So far this year, local car sales are up 11.15%.

As reported by Business First, the ECIDA has approved the amended tax break package requested by Delaware North Companies for its new downtown headquarters.  A formal vote comes before the board this morning.

Digital media technology company Adiant will be open for business this Thursday.  It will operate from 5166 Main Street in Williamsville.
